Behind The Lens

Location

This panorama was taken in tyrol/austria. I hiked up to 2500 meters to this location to catch the milkyway.

Time

it was at midnight, in the light of the Moon, which has served as the foreground lighting

Lighting

The light in the landscape is from the deep moon in this night, the headlamp was a dual-power-led lamp with amazing 1200 lumen.

Equipment

I used my canon 6D, she is amazing at lowlight, and a samyang/rokinon 14mm 2.8 ultrawideangle lens, whitch is very sharp at f2.8

Inspiration

The nature and the night

Editing

The image is made with 21 singleframes. 10 for the background with higher ISO, 10 for the foreground with lower ISO, and one with timetrigger with myself on the big stone.

In my camera bag

Canon 6D, Sony a7s, samyang/rokinon 14mm f2.8, Sony FE 70-200 f4, Tamron 24-70mm 2.8 VC, Commlite EF-FE adapter,... And my eyes ;-)

Feedback

For shooting milkywaypanoramas there is only 2 ways to got amazing shots: information, moonlight, location, summer/winter,... And next is, learning by doing 1000 times... Again and again....
