As I kicked back in my chair with my camera around my neck at this dance on the beach, I was moved. Sitting next to me on my left was a woman the same age as these ladies. The woman was thin and got around very well. She kept hollering for the band to "Go Home!" because they were not playing beach or country music.
At first, I got annoyed with her. Then, my eyes moved to this concrete dance floor where these two beautiful ladies were. The first thing I noticed about them were their smiles and seemingly genuine love for life. It was dark and I was a little distance away, so I lightened this photograph. As I did, I noticed the scar on the ladies leg on the right.
This photograph convinces me more than ever that we have a choice in life. We can either be happy...or not. As for me...whether they are playing my song or not...I choose to dance and be happy!
