The best time to go to Angkor Wat in Cambodia is actually August- September...Monsoons in the tropics usually means heavy rains lasting 2-3 hours, but there are still sunny periods in between. During this time, the crowds are significantly less, hotels are much much cheaper, and the pools of water on the dark floor at Angkor Wat provides excellent photo opportunities.
