Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at a local lake, Mudgett Lake. My husband was fishing and I was of course taking pictures! If you look close you can see his fishing line in the right side of the photo.

Time

This photo was taken at sunset, during a very relaxing day!

Lighting

The lighting seemed perfect, what a great ending to our day!

Equipment

It was shot with my Nikon d3300, hand held, no flash.

Inspiration

I wanted to capture the beauty of the day, the peacefulness of the having the lake all to ourselves! I wanted to be able to look back and remember to take time to just relax and enjoy each other and the beauty that nature offers us.

Editing

The post-processing was just a little adjusting of the exposure! I have found I really enjoy lightroom the more I practice it!

In my camera bag

I have a Nikon d3300, and two lenses that I use are a Nikkor AF-S 55-200mm and a Nikkor AF-S 50 mm, love them both!

Feedback

My advice to others to capture images like this? I would say have patience, don't rush I have found that the right moment seems to find me rather than me finding it! Always be ready, because the moment only lasts a moment and you might not get a second chance to capture it!
