This photo was taken at the begining of spring in New England. I love going for walks taking photos of the new buds around my town.Time
This was most likely taken in the afternoon. I go walking around as soon as the buds start coming out around town. I will post them on my facebook page to let everyone know winter is over. In New England, for most people this is really good news. The winters are very cold and snowy. Its a sign of hope I love to share.Lighting
I shut my flash off usually. I love natural lighting.Equipment
I think this shot was taken with my Nikon D70, 35 to 80 lens, no flash. Im a huge fan of natural light. I love my Nikon's because of the metering systems. They are perfect for natural lighting and they have come so far digitally. Plus I have kids and the bodies are very durable, I have had my D70 pulled from the kitchen table a few times by the strap and its still going strong.Inspiration
Spring is very inspiring to me. My daughter is named after the spring equinox goddess in germany, Eostara. Spring reminds me of my daughter. All the buds coming out reminds me that there is hope after cold winters and there is still life in the earth ready to be reborn in the spring.Editing
Yes, I lightened and brightened and added a pastel filter and broadened the brush strokes with a layer of plastic wrap on the top.In my camera bag
Now I am carrying my D5300, 35 to 80 nikon lens, 70 to 210 nikon lens, speed flash, my fish eye lens and my circle flash. I hardly use my flashes but somtimes I need to soften the shadow. I usually dont book my appointments without the sunlight or cloud cover in mind.Feedback
The best advice I can give any photographer is to look through your lens. Dont just shoot away, capture the way you view the world, what you find beautiful and share this with the world.
