Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Patmara VDC of Jumla. A 4-5 hours uphill walk from my home town Khalanga Bazaar.

Time

I remember I had taken this picture when I was on the way to Khali Pass for overnight via Patmara village. I met him on the way to Khali pass where his summer house lies in between Khali pass and Patmara village. We were walking together, he asked me to click his photo before I was planning how to ask for taking his picture before introduction. I am not sure of exact time but I beleive it was between 4 to 5 pm because school students were playing football in school playground after school off.

Lighting

The day was cloudy and raining but when I was taking his picture rain was stopped for while.

Equipment

This was shot on Nikon 3100d 18-55 kit lens. It was hand hold shots.

Inspiration

I was inspired of his innocence face and defines rural life of Jumla.

Editing

Yes, I does, converting raw picture to JPG, slightly increasing of sharpness, brightness and contrast which I always used to do with pictures. The softwares I used was ViewNX2 that provided by Nikon.

In my camera bag

Normally I always have a Nikon Kit lens 18-55mm,Prime lens 35mm,3oomm lens which I could use as per necessery for portrait, landscapes, mountain and macro.I also has 2 spare batteries and cotton and air blow as well as plastics cover for camera and camera bag.

Feedback

Be patience and exploring to rural area, culture and people is necessary. A skills of making new friends and good attitude is also need.
