I was in southern Saskatchewan in the central plains a grid road to tillneyTime
I shot this picture near midnight in july 2015Lighting
This storm stayed in the exact same spot for over 2 hours with as many as 1 bolts per 2 seconds this was a 4 second shot with one crazy bolt . Not a drop of rain and no wind hot summer night lots of great shots that night this was one to rememberEquipment
I use the canon 6d with the tokina 16/28 atx pro f2.8 shot wide open 4 second exposure most of the night some as long as 10 secondsInspiration

I shoot both canon 6d and 70d with a wide assortment of lenses night time is the tamron 18/270 pizieo 2 the tokina atx pro 16/28 f2.8 thesigma 70/200 f2.8 the canon 24/105 f4 for night time wildlife is another storyFeedback
Be patient some times you have to go to the shot as I traveled 35 miles that night searching for a great vantage point to capture the right bolt. Some times theshot comes to you .
