Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken in Utah while I was visiting my older brother. He took me to his favorite fishing spot up in the mountains by Salt Lake City.

Time

It was a beautiful midafternoon day when I captured this picture. The sun was hitting the lake in just the right way, making the trees reflect off the water.

Lighting

The sun is the perfect tool to lighting, no matter what time of day the sun always help add a nice effect.

Equipment

I used the standard lens that comes with all Cannon cameras.

Inspiration

It was a beautiful place hidden away in the mountains and it contrasted so differently from the desert areas around Salt Lake City, and Salt Lake itself.

Editing

The only thing I did in this picture was make the shadows a little darker.

In my camera bag

I haven't been able to add more equipment to my collection so I have a standard Cannon camera and a tripod.

Feedback

I really like landscape pictures, so the more you can capture in your picture the better. Showcase the entirety of the area you are trying to photograph and highlight the part about it that you find most unique.
