Location
This photo was taken in San Diego California. I remember it was the summer after my first photography class and I was experimenting with light.Time
This was taken at sunset. I took a walk around the beach and harbor when I noticed this cool shot. I actually live in Arizona so I get to see a lot of beautiful sunsets and this reminded me of home.Lighting
I wanted this image to covey a sense of endlessness and I think that the many boats and the soft sunset light worked well with the topic.Equipment
I used a Canon Rebel XS and a tripod.Inspiration
The endlessness of the boats and the soft colors I though was peaceful, and I wanted to capture the moment.Editing
I simply adjusted the lighting and the saturation a bit.In my camera bag
As a high school student, I'm on a low budget so I only have my used Canon Rebel XS, a 35mm lens, an old, small flexible tripod and I have a larger tripod from Amazon.Feedback
California has beautiful sunsets as well as Arizona. Try to get out during the golden hours and you can find perfect lighting for landscapes, portraits, whatever. I try to keep my ISO around 200 and adjust my shutter speed to fit.
