Location
I took this photo in Tin Can Bay a sleepy little fishing town in Queensland AustraliaTime
Up early to take shots like this one, stumbling out of bed at around 4 am to have a coffee before going into the darkness to capture the natural light of day break. With excitement of my first experience of a sunrise, with a camera. As I approached the foreshore a glimmer of light strikes the darkness to reveal a stunning light show across water'sLighting
The water's glisten with colours of light, light moves across the sky and the silhouettes of trees frame the image enhancing the colour's of light. Getting the shot at the right moment of light is a must, Don't blink or you'll miss itEquipment
My first camera I took this shot with - fujifilm finepix xp20 Aperture f/3.9 ISO 800 shutter 10/580 Focal Length 500/100 No other equipment usedInspiration
This was my first camera, I started my journey in photography and I had come across a photographic book that inspired me to do sunrise photography. I had found my love for nature and it's array of colours in morning sunrises.Editing
A little post-production with cropping and exposureIn my camera bag
As I had just started out on my journey into photography I only had one camera that was 2015 Now I pack my bag with a Canon 6d 70-300mm lens, Canon 700d with a 18-55mm lens lens cleaning equipment, filters, hoods, tripod, extra batteries, sd cards, and usb. Bag rain cover, hiking boots, long sleeve shirt, hat, small torch and sunscreen.Feedback
Getting up early before sunrise, stumbling out of bed for a coffee, the last thing you want to be doing is running late for a sunrise, or forgetting equipment, so get your gear ready the night before. Know where your going to set up by scoping out the area prior, in the daylight. Tell someone where your going and approximate time length(just in case) I learnt to be patient to capture that right moment, don't blink or you'll miss it. Hang around and watch the changing light show
