There is a lot of story behind this shot.
I've been trying to shoot the Boston sunset for a while, and the problem is that the sun goes down on the opposite side of the skyline respect to where I usually shoot at it, so it's not easy to get dramatic shots of the sunset.
That's why I started to look for new spots. I looked on google maps, and I localized a 5 floors garage in a location where I thought I could get a very good view of sunset and skyline.
It was just time to wait for a dramatic sunset.
Yesterday was the perfect day. The sky was cloudy but the clouds were not thick enough to completely block the sunlight. I took my bike and went to the garage almost 2 hours before the sunset.
I sneaked inside and I reached the last floor, just to realize that my tripod was too short and I couldn't get a good view of the skyline.
So I went into McGyver mode: I used my bike as support for the third leg of the tripod, the other two were placed on the wall.
This is my favorite shot from yesterday.
