It was my birthday and I was taking a walk through the streets and canals of Venice, California. I spotted this heron from across the street and almost got hit by a car as I was running across to capture this shot.Time

I believe that if you watch for something that inspires you or affects you, that’s the way to get an interesting photograph. There’s so many things in nature, places in the world or people to photograph. Finding the unexpected is always one of my favorite ways to capture an image. You just have to get out there and look.
