Most of my wildlife photos are not as wild as they might appear: they are taken in zoos. This one, however, is the real deal. This is a young, athletic-looking lioness in the wild, or at least as wild as they come these days. Taken at the end of a pre-breakfast game drive in the Mthethomusha Reserve, South Africa.
