During May-June 2015, the Arkansas River was at a devastating level. One of the worst floods in history, causing millions of dollars in damage and deaths. This is a Cypress Tree drifted up onto Shephards Island State Beach, with a rope from somewhere, at the dam in Pine Bluff, Ark USA. You can see the dam locks are still wide open. The river is at about plus 40 feet here. It had started to go down, then we had another round of flooding two days after this. Again flooding the place where I am standing by yet another 10 feet, making it plus 50 ft total. Almost to the tops of the levees, threatening a 75,000 population city. I ma glad it has gone down now....Taken with a SanyoVPC-E2100.
