Having passed through a blizzard that was keeping an army of snow ploughs busy on Route One, the main road the circumnavigates Iceland, I arrived at the black sand beacch of Reynisfjara. As the heavy snow cleared for just a few minutes, I caught a glimpse of Dyrholaey, once an island, this rocky outcrop marks the southern-most tip of Iceland, before once again the blizzard closed in. The solitary seagull added to the desolation and minimalism of this simple image.
