I created this macro wildlife picture of a wild bat at the Circle B Bar Reserve central Florida. It was apparently roosting from the roof of a covered dock structure on the lake. Initially, I did not realize that it was actually deceased and took a series of telephoto shots trying not to scare it. Imagine how foolish I felt when I realized it was beyond scaring. Many types of Bats are a vital part of the environment because they are insectivores that feed on insects, especially mosquitoes.
