Was at a bus stop and could see these flowers among a totally green-brown landscape. The only colour within site. Went over to see what the colour was and it was Desert Birds of Paradise. Situated among manicured junipers and a forest of opuntia, these bight yellow flowers brought a bit of colour to an otherwise mundane landscape.
