Behind The Lens

Location

This shot of Remy was taken in my front yard 10 years ago.

Time

As an amateur I was taking advantage of my free time and trying different compositions. I had been taking flower shots when he began whining to come out. A model is born. This guy was active so I tried food as a distraction

Lighting

My yard was in full shade, the background in full hazy sunlight.

Equipment

A Nikon D100 w/ nikkor 70-300 zoom was my go to lens back then.

Inspiration

My only formal training was the local high school adult education evening program. We learned camera basics using slide film to display our assessments. Digital is so much better and versatile.

Editing

It wasn't long before I learned that post processing is a must. Contrast and brightness can do wonders for most any image.

In my camera bag

A D90&80 , nikkor 28-300 , nikkor 24-70,f2.8, nikkor 80-400,and a macro 28-105.

Feedback

My only advice is keep shooting.A pocket full of patience helps.
