Anybody who knows me knows I LOVE reptiles! I catch garter snakes all the time to photograph and then move them to a safe location not frequented by lawn mowers. This little one is a newborn...maybe 2-3 months old. And very curious to the vibration from the camera. A lot of fun to photograph!

I titled this "Mom" because that is what I would yell if this were me. Instead this young man does this for fun at the 12 falls in Kenya.

The longer the tongue and split, the blinder the snake. Its not easy to catch that moment the tongue leaves the mouth but the color is remarkable!
