Thank you very much! She's my youngest grandchild! :)

Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken of my granddaughter while we were vacationing in Virginia Beach. We were poolside at our timeshare.

Time

It was early afternoon but slightly overcast.

Lighting

All natural lighting but since it was slightly overcast that helped control any harsh shadows.

Equipment

Olympus SP-100

Inspiration

My granddaughter and I were enjoying some pool time and she wanted to have a snack of pumpkin oreos. I suspected that if I asked her to share with me that I would get some facial reaction as she is quite animated. I had my camera ready and asked her for a bite and this is the result.

Editing

I processed in lightroom and then Silver Efex for the black/white conversion.

In my camera bag

My camera, extra batteries and extra cards.

Feedback

Children are great to photograph. But you have to be quick and ready to capture that perfect shot. And I happen to love shots that aren't always smiles.....they show so much of a child's personality and tell a story.
