his shot was taken back in 2004 near the Albany Natural Bridge ("the Gap") in Western Australia. It had always been one of my favorite shots due to the range of colours and contrast displayed. The old tree trunk gives the picture its depth and range of contrast while the subtle shades of orange and the patches of green bushes lay out the range of contrasting colours. While the coloured version has it's own magic, the B-W version of the picture displays different qualities with an enormous range of gray scale, black and white. Pure drama designed by nature.
