Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at a car show in Louisiana. Our family loves cars of any kind from old to new. I am kind of a self taught photographer but have been taking photos since I was 16/17 for bands then went to school for graphic design. While I was in college for graphic design we took some photography courses and art courses and learned even more there. I have since just kept up with my craft.

Time

This was taken on a hot mid Louisiana day.

Lighting

A certain way the sun and shadow from the clouds was showing itself on this car was just perfect. I could see how the black and white of this would look once in the computer and just fell in love.

Equipment

This was with my old school camera. It was with my Sony A100. No tripod and no flash. My ISO was set at 100 and my f-stop at f/8. My exposure at 1/125.

Inspiration

Cars inspure me in general. The power behind them. Nothing like a good still of a vehicle.

Editing

I always do a little post processing. I used photoshop and thats always been where my hearts at. Anything to make a photo look more in an artistic since. There are a few photos that I would say I've never touched and just let the natural beauty shine through.

In my camera bag

I normally carry all 3 of my cameras because you never know who is going to get the job done right. I have my old school Sony A100, Nikon D5200, and then my newest baby Canon EOS R mirrorless. Thats mirrorless dslr is AMAZING!

Feedback

Take your time. Dont rush the shot. Think it through, think about your rule of thirds. Take as many shots as you can.
