Visited the Philippines, met this pedicab driver who gave us a lift. The cost of a ride for quite a distance is obscenely cheap. Manual labor is very under-valued and under-paid. We made sure we paid him more than his day's wage... it was Christmas time after all. The next shot I took of this man... he had a big smile. He was going to take the rest of the day off, buy some food and groceries and surprise his wife by coming home early. A husband, a father... you do what ever it takes. Respect.
