Its been shot 100's of times but its a must for anyone in Stockton. This is Stockton's infinity bridge. Trying to find an angle that hasn't been shot yet is the key. When I shot this, I hadn't see any from this angle.

Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in Stockton on Tees, my local town. The bridge is an award winning structure that was but in 2007

Time

The shot was taken at about 9pm as its often quite busy I felt it was a good time to go as it would be quite by that time.

Lighting

The bridge is already well lit and lends its self well to night shots with little in the way of lighting required.

Equipment

This was shot with a f800 using a sigma 24-70, 2.8 and a manfrotto be free tripod. I tend to travel lite when I shoot to challenge myself when I can

Inspiration

I was trying to find an angle that hadn't been shot at the time. This bridge has been shot from almost every angle and its hard to find one was new (even this angle is old now)

Editing

I always shoot raw and tru to recrate the scene as I see it. I've just done the basics, white ballance, upped the saturation a little and played with the brightness and contrast to make it pop

In my camera bag

When this was shot, it was a d800, a 16-24 24-70 70-200 all 2.8 but I sold it when the shutter count began to climb. So at present I'm shooting with a Panasonic mirrorless and mostly primes as it suits my current style at present. I am however looking for another full frame to add to my bag again, soon.

Feedback

Find something that you like, something that interests you and try to show people what you see in with your pictures. Try to find a new angle if you can or try to tell a story.
