Canon 60d 50mm 1.8 lens

Inspiration

Jake is a very special German Shepard. When he was 8 weeks old he was found abandoned in a park in north Alabama. He had broken back and dislocated pelvis. He was rehabbed in North Alabama but found his forever home in South Alabama. He is a survivor. Since this photo was taken he has had multiple surgeries and setbacks but is still a sweetheart. More information about Jake's story can be found https://www.facebook.com/jakethegsd/

Editing

I primarily do editing in Lightroom. On this photo I used a preset from pretty presets and adjusted to make it "fit" with this photo.

In my camera bag

Canon 7d Mk ii 50mm 28-105mm 70-300mm Tripod

Feedback

Pet photography is not for everyone. They aren't the easiest to pose. I have found that if you want to photograph dogs it is easiest to do in their environment. You want them to be at ease. I have a bright orange dog toy on a rope that I use to get them to look in my direction. As far as getting a dog to wink, that's just luck.
