Behind The Lens

Location

"Moon river, wider than smile, Crossed her in style that day. Oh, the photograph was a dream maker." in Savannah, Geogia.

Time

There is always time to capture a photograph. After enjoying a day out with my partner, I captured memories as a passenger in a her car. The universe presented a gift as we traveled at sunset over the bridge at "Moon River". Yes that Moon River..... "Two drifters, off to see the world. There's such a lot of world to see. We're after that same rainbow's end, waitin' 'round the bend. My huckleberry friend, moon river, and me" (written by Johnny Mercer, a local Savannah musician.)

Lighting

There was a beautiful reflection of light created by mother nature. I focused on light shining upon the river.

Equipment

I captured this beautiful memory on my phone, taking time to focus and balance. No other equipment was involved.

Inspiration

A late day rain shower had just passed over. The beautiful color scope of light reflection was nature's gift. She was washed anew in her glory with light and a kaleidoscope of color. As a photographer and painter, I was drawn into her canvas. "Moon River" captured the memories of my day out with my partner and a sketch for me to paint.

Editing

With landscape photography, I use raw for white balance. As a painter, I created a painted canvas appearance.

In my camera bag

After losing my Nikon camera, I presently carry my phone for photographs. It is all in the eye of the beholder.

Feedback

There is always a time to capture a photograph. The type of equipment should not be a deterrent. Taking time to see a photograph in your eye... focusing, being steady and enjoying the passion creates masterpieces. Photography is "your vision" and with time, your natural skills take over.
