Location
This photo was taken about 2 minutes from my home on the Wirral (UK) it's looking out to the Irish sea from Moreton shore.Time
It was late on just as the sun was setting and I was trying out my new Nikon D610 with kit lens.Lighting
There is not a lot to say in regards to the lighting, I exposed the image to ensure that the fisherman was silhouetted against the beautiful sunset.Equipment
I shot the image with the Nikon D610 with the kit 24-70mm no additional equipment was used.Inspiration
I was out looking for photo opportunities to test out the new gear, this gent was teaching his son how to cast, I thought it my make a nice photograph so I asked them if they minded me taking a few shots to which they agreed.Editing
I did perform some post production in Adobe Lightroom where I added some sharpness and changed the levels to ensure the subject was silhouetted. In my camera bag
I no longer have the Nikon D610 but when I did use this camera I had the Sigma 24-70mm 2.8, Nikon 70-300 VR lens, The Nikon nifty 50 1.8 and a Nikon SB800. However I no longer have the Nikon as I switched to the Sony A7 with and currently have the kit lens, the Sony 70-200 f4 lens, the Sony 28mm 2.8 and a couple of non branded flash guns.Feedback
The best advice I can give it to always carry your camera with you (if possible) and always be on the lookout for opportunities as you never know when they may present themselves.
