Location
A creek off of Highway 99 in British Columbia CanadaTime
This photo was taken around 11am, it was hot for this time of year and the water levels were extremely high.Lighting
The lighting was difficult. There was so much mist and splashing from the creek it was hard to get the right exposure to share the true experience of feeling like you were standing there.Equipment
Canon 50d, Tamron 17-50 f/2.8, Manfrotto 290 "I broke it during this shot" ISO 100, 17mm, f/8.0, 1/125secInspiration
My passport was about to expire and I had never been to British Columbia, so I made it a point not to let this opportunity pass by. The first four day weekend I had to go no matter what. I was staying in a small town called Cache Creek and was adventuring out a different direction each day. I was heading west on Highway 99 towards Whistler and this creek was off the side of the Highway. It looked so powerful I had to try to capture it's beauty.Editing
All my post-processing is done in Light Room, so just small adjustments. In my camera bag

Take your time and get the scene you want. When there is this much water in the air you don't get many chances before you have spots all over your lens from repeatedly wiping them off. I ended up taking off my shirt to cover the lens between shots.
