Location
This photo was taken in an abandon castle in Scotland.Time
This was taken mid afternoon on a cloudy day.Lighting
I loved the contrast between the interior and the exterior of the castle, and combine with the jagged edge of the window, the photograph came out great!Equipment
I used a Canon Rebel T5i with a 18-55mm lens with a lens hood and manual focus and no flash.Inspiration
The beautiful, crumbling architecture of the Scottish landscape and the cloudy blue of the sky made for a perfect journey up the cliffside to the castle. I hoped to capture this in my photography.Editing
I use some lighting and contrast editing on some of my photographs, but did not use any on this photo. In my camera bag
Two sizes of lense, a lens hood, a GoPro and strap, and a couple spare memory cards.Feedback
I've often struggled with the grey, potentially drab tones in the sky found in the UK, but with the right stone and grass to contrast it, that sometimes bland blue can become the focus of its own beautiful piece.
