Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo inside of my children's kiddie pool that was placed inside my garage so that I could control the light.

Time

Around 11am

Lighting

I used my favorite light the diva ring light. I'm so in love with the effect I get using it.

Equipment

I'm not a fancy girl. I use a nikon d5100 and a 35mm 1.8.

Inspiration

I've wanted to play around with milk baths for awhile. But I really wanted to change the color instead of doing a typical white milk bath. So I used colored soap to get the desired color.

Editing

I played around with tperature and curves, as well as adding a few subtle light leaks.

In my camera bag

Nikon d5100, 35mm and 50mm 1.8 prime lenses.

Feedback

Kiddie pools are great for this kind of shot. This was a tall girl and she had no problem moving around lots of space.
