That was my backyard when I was a kid. My dad built them for us. There was just mud under them back than, the grass was all scrubbed off from the tiny little feet. I have 6 younger siblings, 2 older and we spent hours here. Trying to jump to the moon. We used to have swinging competitions to see who could swing the highest. Completely oblivious to the fact that the different lengths of the swings and the laws of physics made it impossible to be a fair competition..lol It's not there anymore unfortunately.

Really like this one.... the swings each being a slightly different length... the homemade backcountry look, the composition, the colours, the clouds... great shot...... thanks for sharing :0

Thanks for looking and I really appreciate your comment!!! Some great memories attached to these swings. My parents built these for us when I was a kid. They stood there for about 30 years I think.

Yes, I love the country too. Brings back a lot of memories for me too. I spent many hours in these as a kid. No metal or plastic just as you said, and stood safely for over 30 years. Natural and beautiful, and definitely made with love, just the way it should be.

Thanks jefflaidlaw and shellandshilo. My dad built these for us when we were kids. After 19 years away from home, it would still be the first place I would run to each time I would go back. They are gone now sadly...I'm so happy I have this photo.
