Behind The Lens

Location

Clifton Springs old pier near the boat ramp

Time

Early evening at sunset

Lighting

First few hours of the day and last few hours seem to be the best lighting for me.

Equipment

Canon 600D with a focal length of 10.00mm Aperture 5.6 exposure time 1/30 and ISO 200

Inspiration

Love old piers and shooting into the sun for the black appearance effect.

Editing

No haven't touch this image, take a lot of photos of the pier and was lucky with this picture.

In my camera bag

I have Canon 600D with wide angle 10/30 which I use for landscape I have a 100/500 zoom lense for wildlife, 75/300 which I use alot and a lot of other lenses. Tripod spare batteries cleaning equip spare SD cards, charges. Recently upgraded to a Sony A7. I have an adaptor to use canon lenses on this. Umbrella.

Feedback

Time of day is a big one. Lots of patience to get the right shot. I have taken many shots of the same thing at different times of the day to get the best shot. Research location. Don't be afraid to get your feet wet or climb a few rocks to get the right angles.
