Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a recluse corner of the English countyside, where the crops had just started to flower.

Time

This was taken during the golden hour

Lighting

Natural lighting

Equipment

This was shot on a canon 600d with a 50mm f1.8 lens

Inspiration

I love the open spaces you find hidden away in the English countryside, especially when the sun just starts to set. It's really stunning if you are used to a more urban environment.

Editing

Just a little bit with this particular image, I pulled up the vibrance and saturation a tiny bit just to really make the light and flowers pop. Also there is a tiny bit of sharpening going on just to give it that little extra clarity and then I have cropped the image to give it a more cinematic feel.

In my camera bag

Canon 600d, 50mm f1.8, Diana f+, a reflector and batteries.

Feedback

Spend time choosing a location, really scout them and get a feel for the place before you decide to shoot there. Make sure it's right for you, also choose your time of day to match the feel you want
