Location
This Photo was taken at Cissbury Ring, West Sussex, we often go there as a family and I really wanted to capture this tree in one form or another.Time
Sunrise, I arrived about an hour before Sunrise and took several shots before I decided what I wanted to achieve.Lighting
The lighting was quite harsh and originally I had the sun rising to the left of the tree but decided on this approach instead, I went for spot metering to achieve the silhouette look that you see.Equipment
This was taken with my first Bridge Camera a Fuji Finepix S9400W. It was after this shot that I decided I really enjoyed Photography an upgraded to a DSLR.Inspiration
FAMILY! We always sit under this tree with our Daughter (and now our Son) and have homemade soup! to us and our 4yr old it is the Soup Tree!!Editing
Not really, I was just starting out so I had not really explored the world of editing but I did crop the photo to give it a tighter composition. In my camera bag
Back then it would have been my Fuji and a tripod, now it is my Nikon D3200 with 18-55mm Kit lens and a Sigma 70-300mm, tripod, remote release and filters plus plenty of cleaning cloths!Feedback
Don't get hung up on what camera you have, it is not about the camera you have it is how you use it. It also helps to research an area with potential and get up early, it may not happen the first time but never give up.
