Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at a park in Twin Lake Michigan. I was trying to reminisce back to my youth. I spent a lot of time in my youth there and I wanted to see all of the advancements.

Time

This photo was taken during the late afternoon in July of 2014.

Lighting

I wanted to make certain that the sun was behind me when I took this picture. As you can see there are some nice shadows made by the trees that filled the park.

Equipment

The Camera used was the GE 10.1 megapixel C1033 digital camera. The lens was a Aspheric Zoom Lens (3x 5.2-15.6mm 1:3.5-6.4). The camera was set to auto flash but to my knowledge did not go off during this shot.

Inspiration

The excitement of seeing the old park again but in it's updated form. It was a very exciting day for me. Seeing all of the advancements was like going back in history as a whole new person, when I knew I was still me!

Editing

No post-processing or filters were used in this picture! It is all natural just as it was when I saw it with my own eyes.

In my camera bag

If I am going to take pictures I would carry many lenses and filters in my camera bag. I used to do this with my 35mm before the introduction of all digital cameras.

Feedback

Try to imagine the image you would like everyone to see. Place yourself at the best vantage point for that picture. Using angles, lighting, and knowledge, focus on the highlights you want your viewers attention to fall on.
