This is a great shot, it would have been better if you could have blurred the background through bokeh. It seems that you have taken the shot little away from the subject, Depth of field depends on the distance between the camera plane and the subject, if it is closer, the background becomes soft, the the subject will be the most important in the frame. Please understand, this is my opinion, but from one person to another the liking of the photo varies. This means no photography can be judges good or bad, because all depends on the mood, and the situation which it was taken. What I learnt from famous photographers, any photography tries to tell a story
