Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at Radhanagar Beach, Havelock Island, Andaman as a memory to remind myself that how peaceful I felt at this location.

Time

This is one of my favorite photograph from my best trip. I still remember taking this shot, it was around 6.30 pm when I decided to eat something after a peaceful and tiring afternoon at the beach

Lighting

I wanted this picture to give a positive vibe to viewers and help them to reduce their stress level . Neither the lighting from the lamp post nor the setting sun were not sufficient enough to give me my desirable shot and hence played with the ISO to capture the shot I wanted

Equipment

This was shot using Nikon D3200 with f/5.0, ISO6400 and exposure 1/8. Apart from this no external equipment were used

Inspiration

I was eating with my friend after a long tiring afternoon at the beach when I suddenly saw this hut at the beach it gave me such a clamness that for a moment I forgot all my tiredness and felt refreshing .At that instant I thought what if I can have such beautiful scene everytime when I am tensed and tierd , hence decided to capture it through my lens

Editing

Yes, ofcourse. I first took this photograph in Raw format to ensure that no colour should get lost. Then I corrected the white balance and shadows to give it a depth that I wanted.

In my camera bag

My bag very lite and simple . I always carry a 18-105 lens because I want myself to be ready for wide variety of moments. I also carry a 3 sd cards of 4 GB, 4GB and 16GB. So that I should have a liberty to take maximum number of shots and them decide best among them. And lastly I always have my battery charged everyday before I step out

Feedback

Though I am not a very experienced photographer but I have I learnt one thing that we need to have patience and especially in Andaman. Andaman is a place where nature has a lot to offer us, we just need to have patience and story in a mind that we want to say. I have taken almost 6-7 shots and 15-20 min of post processing to arrive at this picture
