This Photo was taken in the "Safari" in Ramat-Gan, Israel. This Safari is the biggest Zoo in Israel and it furthers both open spaces that you can drive thru and the more traditional zoo. it also has the biggest Wild Animal Hospital in Israel.Time
Well, This photo was taken in a sunny December Israeli morning. The gates to the zoo only open at 9am and I was first in line to get in and get the best angels to park my car on the side of the road to take the photos/Lighting
As I said this photo was taken around 9am but the sky was a bit cloudy so I did get a nice and decent light on the subject.Equipment
At that time I had my Canon Kiss II (aka 450d) wish a Tamron 70-300 lens on it. The photo Was taken from inside my car with the window down so the door used as kind of a tripod.Inspiration
Well, I just love animals and the wild life. I also love shooting in B/W. I know I want a Zebra B/W photo in my collection and the minute I saw them starting to move towards each outer I knew all I had to do is wait for the "Perfect Moment".Editing
All the post-processing that was done on this photo is: Crop to a square, a little bit of contrast was added and my signature.In my camera bag
Well, I'm an Archaeologist and I'm out in the field mots of the days. I normaly use my Canon Kiss II with a Canon 180mm macro for shooting birds and insects, but when not at work I have my Canon 5D and a 24-105mm or a 50mm 1.8 on it.Feedback
If you want to get a photo similar its all about timing! I was lucky to shoot this photo but I'm sure that if I wasn't able to get what I wanted I would just keep on waiting for this moment and keep on going to the same spot until I got what I wanted. Don't give up! If you didn't get the shoot you wanted just come back another day.
