Location
I took this photo in the country around Chilliwack, British Columbia, on a small bridge over a little creek.Time
It was early afternoon and the lighting was perfect. The sunlight filtering through the trees gave the perfect mood to the photo.Lighting
I didn't need any additional lighting; no flash, no lamps, just the natural light from the sky.Equipment
I was just getting started in photography, and I only had my Canon Elph 135. I was definitely surprised at the quality of the photo, seeing as it was only a small camera and I had no additional equipment. To this day, it stands as one of my favorite images.Inspiration
I can't really say what inspired me to take the shot, but when I saw it, something just clicked, no pun intended. It wasn't till after I took the picture that I realized how poetic it looked, to me, at least.Editing
I didn't have to do any post-processing, because the photo speaks for itself. The focus, blurring, and darkened edges all happened without much difficulty from me. It is probably one of the easiest shots I've taken so far.In my camera bag
I like to have my Canon 135 with me, as it's small and easy to whip out if I see something picturesque. I also carry around my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H50. It may be older, but the zoom is amazing.Feedback
I specialize in macro photography, as I feel it portrays me. It is quite easy to get started in macro, as long as you're determined to make it look good. If it doesn't look good the first time, try, try again.
