Location
I took this in San Antonio in front of my Grad photo professors house in 2012 /13 while working on a body of work that was about confrontationTime
It was early evening the sun was going down and it was right behind the house creating a very nice even light. I went over for the sole purpose of getting this shot but it turned out even better than I had imagined.Lighting
nothing special about the light just around golden hour I suppose it could have been a little earlier in the evening.Equipment
Canon 5D MK II, Tamron AF28-75mm F2.8 {IF} Macro, Manfrotto 475B tripod, Vello freewave plus wireless remote shutter releaseInspiration
I was working on a body of work about confrontation and wanted to use my Graduate photo professor's daughter in front of their house.Editing
The only post-processing I did was to convert to black-and-white and crop to a 16 by 9 ratio. In my camera bag
I normally walk a round with a Canon 5D mk 2 with a 40mm pancake lens, but also in the bag is a Tamron 28-75mm. Those are my work horse lenses I use them for everything.Feedback
to catch anything similar is all about the timing getting that perfect look in the faces. Lots of trial and error, I think there were over 50 shots before the final serious look
