This photo was taken at Church Pond in Brighton, New York.Time
I remember waking up early one day in September to take pictures of the leaves changing on the trees in Saranac Lake, New York. As I was driving I came across Church Pond and the leaves and reflections in the water looked beautiful so I stopped to take pictures. This photo was taken on September 28, 2014 at 9:09 a.m.Lighting
I used the sun as my only light source for this photo.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon DSLR D3100, and a AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens.Inspiration
I wanted to capture the beginning of autumn on camera. The trees always look so beautiful changing in the fall in Saranac Lake so I decided that I was going to drive through the area and take a lot of pictures.Editing
I did not do any post-processing for this photo. In my camera bag
The equipment I normally have in my bag is my Nikon D3100 and the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens.Feedback
The best time to take pictures like this one in Brighton and the surrounding Saranac Lake area is at the end of September to the end of October. Taking the pictures early in the morning help because the sun isn't high enough to cast a lot of shadows. And it's best to take pictures like this on a day when there isn't many clouds out.
