I like the high key portraits. I just wouldn't add the dark vignette. If anything I would use a white one to make the image more circular. This one also has a tight crop and that now a lot more popular than it used to be. I also think you can keep working these into more directions too. Consider that you are wanting to reduce the portrait into the most compelling parts! Very soft tints might be flattering as well.
