Location
The photo was taken on a small children's playground. It was very near the restaurant where the newlyweds were having their dinner. I saw it when I arrived and I immediately knew I have to take them there at some point.Time
Photo was taken in the late afternoon in the middle of the summer. The light is not very flattering at that time but nevertheless I think it turned out quite fine :)Lighting
There was no light modifiers or flashes used in this photo. Actually the position was a bit awkward so I could't use the light bouncer. Thinking back I could have used a flash on this one as the faces were a bit dark in the final image but this was corrected in the post processing.Equipment
This photo was shot with a Canon 5d mkII with a 24-105 lens. No tripods or other equipment was used.Inspiration
I once read an interview with a fellow photographer where he said (this is not going to be an exact quote but something from my memory): "My buddy is always asking me how come I always get the fun couples? I thought about it and realized it is me who brings the fun of of them." And guess what he is right. If you are going to be bitter there's a big chance the clients are going to be bitter too. So I always try to have fun and not to take everything too seriously.Editing
I always shoot RAW. Always. It gives you a lot more maneuverability when post processing. Since i did not use the flash in this photo I had to lighten up both of their faces. In camera raw adjustment brush was used for this task using exposure setting only. For the final touch saturation and contrasts settings were used so nothing big really. In my camera bag
I normally carry 2 bodies in my bag. It comforts me knowing that I have a backup if something fails on my prime body. I use 24-105 f4 because it is in my opinion the best all-rounder you can get for the money. I also carry 50 f1.4, 17-40 and my favourite 70-200 f2.8. I am just not a big fan of primes although Canon's 85 1.2 or Sigma's 85 1.4 is definitely on the list.Feedback
Shooting a wedding usually brings a lot of unknowns. I always tend to prepare for the shoot and check the locations and plan ahead what I am going to do. But a lot of times it just doesn't go out as planed so you have to improvise and find something that would work. Children's playground is always a good location. People get more relaxed there after all we all were kids once and when you bring that childish side in people out it's just the matter of pressing the shutter button.
