This is my little friend from Kauai who I've named Ni'iko. He came to visit me every morning during my breakfast on the lanai. --- One of the things I really try to do with my wildlife shots is capture an aspect of the animal's personality, especially if I've gotten to know him or her. In the case of Ni'iko, he's very bold, curious, and inquisitive. He would often cock to the side just a little when he looked at me. So, though I could have easily straightened him out in this image in post processing, I knew it wouldn't do him justice. Seeing him just a little cocked to the side is the Ni'iko I came to know and I think (or at least hope) it conveys his sense of curiosity.
