The hike to Barred Isle in Maine has to have been the most amazing hike I've ever been on. The forest floor was completely covered with moss that absorbed every sound, and the smell of spruce was so fresh . . . . The only thing better was the mixture of spruce forest and fresh ocean salt water as I got closer to shore.
