This photo was taken from the top of the Dorset Lookout Tower in spring before the leaves on the trees came in.Time
I went for a walk in the early evening up to the Lookout Tower with no intentions of climbing it. It wasn't until I got to the top that I saw how stunning the view was.Lighting
The sun hadn't set yet but the sky was beautiful shades of pink and blue that evening. There is absolutely no artificial light that time of the day so all of the lighting is natural.Equipment
I walked up to the Tower for fun, so all I had on me was my iPhone 5C, nothing fancy.Inspiration
The view over town was incredible, the sun hadn't set yet but the sky was full of beautiful colours. I've gotten criticism for the trees looking burnt in this photo, but to me it was beautiful. It shows the landscape in its natural beauty before all of the leaves came in for the summer.Editing
I used Snapseed to edit this photo, and I honestly couldn't tell you what filters I used.In my camera bag
I shoot with a Canon Digital Rebel XSi with EF-S18-55mm lens that came with the camera!Feedback
Learn to see the beauty in everything, no matter what anyone says. People may not like it because there aren't leaves on the tree, or because there's snow on the ground, whatever, that's nature and you can't change it. Always snap that photo of the gorgeous sunset, no matter what camera or device you're using, because if not you WILL regret it.
