Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo from the balcony of my 3rd floor flat. We're lucky to live just outside Barcelona, and our balcony faces away from the built up areas of the town.

Time

I took the photo around mid afternoon on 19th January 2015. As you can see it was a pretty miserable day, and the hills outside had been covered in low cloud/fog for most of the day. I just happened to look outside as the tower broke through the fog and ran to grab my camera.

Lighting

Nothing, nothing at all (The day was bright enough and a flash wouldn´t have reached that far)......

Equipment

As the photo was taken on the spur of the moment, I used my 70-300mm Sigma lens on my mid range Canon.

Inspiration

I saw the tableau, liked it, took the photo, and hoped that my instincts were correct....

Editing

I sharpened the tower to make it stand out more, increased the white balance and contrast slightly, but other than that very little...

In my camera bag

My Sigma 70-300mm, Canon 50mm Prime, and standard Kit Lense, spare batteries, and looooaaaaddddddddssssssss of SD cards....

Feedback

Be near a mountain, with a radio tower....on a wet, cloudy day (preferably sheltered)... and rely on your instincts
