Location
Shot from the south bank of the Thames in London, across from the Tower of London.Time
Taken early morning, just after sunriseLighting
I wanted the early morning light and then exposed for the bridge to enhance the colours.Equipment
Nikon D800 camera and tripod.Inspiration
Many people photograph the bridge from the north bank looking upriver. I wanted to shoot the opposite view.Editing
Pulled up the shadows on the bridge to enhance the colours, and pulled down the highlights in the sky to avoid overexposure. All done in Lightroom. In my camera bag
D800, D850, sigma Art series lenses at 35mm, 50mm and 85mm. Nikon 70-200mm and 300-500mm lenses. Selection of Lee filters.Feedback
Get up early and scout your location. Try not to follow the trend set by others - always try to find a new angle.
