Behind The Lens

Location

This photo is taken in the capital city of Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur. It was just a few month after I got my hands on my first DSLR.

Time

It was a sunny afternoon. I had just finish my lunch with a couple of friends from Indonesia. We took a walk afterwards, to find a place for a group photo. While we were outside, I looked up and saw this image in my head.

Lighting

It was sunny and my meter shows that I am overexposing. Thus, I drop the ISO, and increase the f stop.

Equipment

This was taken with a Canon 700D with a EF-S18-55mm f/3.5 lens.

Inspiration

It is one of the talles building in the world.

Editing

Yes I definitely did. I increase the contrast and convert the photo to black and white.

In my camera bag

I would normally pack a kit lens (EF-S18-55mm f/3.5 lens) and a nifty fifty with a Canon 700D.

Feedback

To re-create this style of image, I guess you would need the sunlight to bounce off the windows as it adds additional details to the structure.
