TOO close! I know these are harmless but there was one on my porch (which my cats were WAYYYY to interested in) and I tried to shoo him off and the little devil kept whizzing back at me trying to bite me. Ingrate! I was just trying to save his miserable little life. And keep the cats from eating him and puking all over the house.

Very close. Used my macro lens so I was 2 inches away. He did try to bite but settled down for about 15 minutes. I also have one of him resting his head on my camera!

I don't mind snakes at all but would never use a macro LOL....a telephoto would be my choice. Its a fantastic capture.
